As a part of the Museums of Western Colorado, Dinosaur Journey in Fruita stands as a Paleontological and Geological museum, showcasing fossils and dinosaurs indigenous to the region.
Families and everyone visiting will encounter authentic fossils, cast skeletons, and robotic reconstructions of dinosaurs within its exhibits.
The museum offers numerous interactive activities and houses over 15,000 fossil specimens. Peer into the visible paleontology laboratory to observe the preparation of dinosaur bones for display. Additional attractions include a dinosaur library, a sandbox for creating dinosaur tracks, and an earthquake simulator. Children will delight in the “quarry site” where they can unearth genuine Jurassic dinosaur bones.
